Pauline is a teacher, potter, lecturer, and Professional Restorer
Pauline trained as a teacher in the 60's. She taught for the London Borough of Barnet for 30 years and ran her own ceramics studio specialising in gas fired domestic stoneware, Raku ware and Raku Porcelain.
She exhibited widely, holding solo and joint exhibitions in galleries and museums, and sold through Bonham's Auction House. Latterly she limits her making to her beautiful Raku Porcelain into which she inlays gold leaf.
She has been a member of the Barnet Collection for some time and is a past chairman of Dacorum and Chiltern Potters Guild.
She is also a professional restorer working with antiques, pots and figurines in a variety of media such as porcelain, china, marble, glass, alabaster, plaster, ivory, jade, resin. etc.
She finds the variety of pieces a real challenge, and loves the thrill of returning a cherished piece, to her often amazed and delighted clients.
She recently returned from working for three months in the Glass laboratory of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
She is available to give illustrated talks on her restoration.
