She studied drama and performance. Most of her working life has been spent in the theatre as an actress.
Having collected ceramic pieces for many years, when she retired from performing with her own theatre company, Turning Heads, she decided to see if she could create some objects she loved.
She has now discovered a new and rewarding interest in pottery and she creates her pots at the Hampstead Garden Institute.
Her work has the feeling of sculptural shapes with patterns and decorations.
Most of her inspiration comes from her deep love of forests and the individual trees that surround us.
Other ideas come from the life and art of ancient Britain and Cyprus, places of pots and ceramics.
